A man was killed in a shooting Sunday morning in East Knoxville, according to the KPD.
Sergeant Bob Maxwell identified the victim as Esley D. Clemons, Jr., 34, of Knoxville.
Officers say the incident occurred around 4:15 a.m. at Rock's Grand Lounge located on the 2000 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue.
When officers arrived on the scene, they found the victim who was transported to UT Medical Center. The man died shortly after arriving at the hospital.
The investigation is ongoing.
