CORRYTON (WATE) - A Knox County school bus ran off the road and hit an embankment in Corryton Tuesday morning. Two students and the driver had minor injuries.

Bus number 77 wrecked at 8803 Sunrise Road at 7:09 a.m. It was carrying 32 East Knox Elementary School students.

The bus was going northbound on Sunrise Road when the driver ran off the pavement, overcorrected, crossed the road and crashed into an embankment, according to a preliminary investigation by the sheriff's office.

Most of the children onboard complained of minor injuries and were checked on location by emergency medical responders.
