KNOXVILLE (WATE) - A man authorities say had been mistakenly released from the Blount County Jail in July was taken into custody Tuesday night.

Dewyatt Allen Hill, 55, was convicted in federal court for involvement in what officers called a take-down style robbery of several CVS pharmacies in the Knoxville area.

He was released by mistake in July and was being sought since then. Authorities said they considered Hill "armed and dangerous" during his time out of jail.

Officers of the Smoky Mountains Fugitive Task Force arrested Hill Tuesday night without incident at a Knoxville mobile home park on Clinton Highway.

Hill was sentenced to 75 years on county and federal charges and was being held at the Blount County Jail when a clerical error resulted in his release.

Results of internal investigation released the same day as his capture showed paperwork from the U.S. Marshals Service was not properly filed or entered into the sheriff's office management system.
