KNOXVILLE (WATE) - A man who answered the door Wednesday when officers knocked was arrested as an auto theft suspect in East Knox County.

Sheriff's officers responded to a call about two men in a fist fight shortly before 7:00 a.m. at Riverdale Park on Flint Gap Road.

The officers were told one of the suspects fled in a blue pickup truck before they arrived.

The other suspect, identified as Thomas Anthony Tipton, 45, of Knoxville, went in an abandoned trailer at 7000 Flint Gap Road. The sheriff's office said a 1994 gold Honda Accord in the driveway there was reported stolen.

When officers knocked on the door, Tipton answered and was taken into custody without incident. He's charged with auto theft.

The officers found Amanda Dawn Buhl, 27, of Kodak, and another woman hiding in closets in the trailer. Buhl was arrested on an outstanding child support warrant.
