ROGERSVILLE (WATE) - Officers in Hawkins County arrested two women Tuesday when they seized a one-pot meth lab from a car.

Officers were looking for Amanda Ashley Harrison, 24, of Petersburg Road in Rogersville, on outstanding warrants.

An undercover sheriff's narcotics officer arranged to meet Harrison on W. Bear Hollow Road while other officers did surveillance.

Harrison arrived with a passenger identified as Cortney Nicole Ramey, 25, of Bowater Lane in Kingsport.

The undercover officer said he could smell and see a one-pot meth lab in the floorboard of Harrison's car and saw both women tend to it.

The undercover officer tried to take both women into custody. Ramey ran, but deputies caught up to her and arrested her.

Investigators said Harrison had just left the home she shares with Mark Gent on Petersburg Road. Narcotics officers seized a meth lab from that home three or four days earlier and placed it under quarantine.

The sheriff's office said items from the home were found in Harrison's vehicle.

Both women were decontaminated and booked into the Hawkins County Jail.

Harrison is charged with: initiating the process of making meth, possession of drug paraphernalia, violation of a meth lab quarantine and violation of probation.

Ramey is charged with: initiating the process of making meth, evading arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Harrison is being held without bond while Ramey has a $75,000 bond. Both face a court date on September 17.

The Tennessee Methamphetamine and Pharmaceutical Task Force, Striggersville Volunteer Fire Department and Hawkins County EMS helped with clean-up on W. Bear Hollow Road.
