TELLICO PLAINS (WATE) - One man is dead after a crash near Highway 68 in Monroe County.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol says John Radford, 71, died just before 11 a.m. Wednesday after his vehicle left the roadway.
The accident report says Radford was traveling southbound on Highway 68 near the intersection of Old State Highway 68 when his left the roadway and struck a utility pole.
Radford was wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash. The report indicated Radford was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol before the crash occurred.
Radford's date of birth was incorrect on the report. THP has corrected his age as 71.
