GREENEVILLE (WATE) - A Talbott man was sentenced Wednesday to serve 118 months in federal prison for the armed robbery of pharmacy in White Pine.

Brian Cleve Mullins, 37, pleaded guilty on July 10 to a federal indictment charging him with the robbery of the Sanitary Drug Store and related firearms charges.

Mullins went in the store with a handgun, told the pharmacist to get on the ground and asked him where he kept the oxycodone pills. After the pharmacist gave him some pills, Mullins ran out the door.

As officers arrived, witnesses pointed out a truck leaving the back parking lot.

Officers chased Mullins through Jefferson, Cocke and Hamblen counties as well as on foot. A K9 officer with the Morristown Police Department eventually caught Mullins.

There is no parole in the federal system.
