KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Police arrested a man Thursday afternoon as the suspect in the Labor Day assault of a tow truck driver.

Tycorrian Taylor, 22, of Summercrest Way in Knoxville, was taken into custody without incident as he was leaving a residence on Parkview Drive.

Taylor is charged with one count of aggravated assault for the incident that left Ron Gandy, 48, with critical injures.

Police say Gandy was attacked at Pleasant Terrace Apartments early Monday morning as he tried to tow a Lexus.

Taylor is being held in the Knox County Jail on a $20,000 bond.

He's been in Knox County custody at least 10 times, according to the sheriff's office.
