KNOXVILLE (WATE) - A school bus wreck Tuesday morning will result in charges against the driver, according to the Knox County Sheriff's Office.
Sharon Krueger, 62, and two students were injured in the wreck at 7:09 a.m. on Sunrise Road in Corryton.
According to the sheriff's office report, bus #77 was going northbound on Sunrise Road when it went off the right side of the road, crossed over to the left side and hit an embankment.
Krueger was taken to UT Medical Center and two children were taken to East Tennessee Children's Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Thirty-two East Knox Elementary School students were on the bus at the time of the wreck.
The report says Krueger was wearing a shoulder and lap belt when it happened.
Investigators believe Krueger overcorrected and then drove carelessly and erratically.
Lynch Bus Lines owns the school bus.
