PETROS (WATE) - A man was sent to jail and a small child was taken to the hospital after an accident Thursday afternoon in Morgan County.
Troy Seiber, 49, was backing out of a parking lot near Tennessee Route 116 when he struck a three-year-old boy. The Tennessee Highway Patrol's accident report says the boy ran behind the 1990 Chevrolet pick-up truck.
Seiber was arrested for driving on a suspended license and DUI.
The child was flown to the University of Tennessee Medical Center via Life Star air transport. His identity and condition are unknown at this time.
