KNOXVILLE (WATE) - A body found Thursday afternoon in the Tennessee River in West Knoxville has been identified as a missing Sevierville woman.
Laurel Denise Holmes, 55, was reported missing to the Sevier County Sheriff's Office on Friday, August 31.
Police say the autopsy found no trauma of any kind.
A man who lives near the city of Knoxville's Sequoyah Park spotted Holmes' body in the water and called 911. The fire department retrieved her body.
