LENOIR CITY (WATE) - A Lenoir City mother was arrested and charged with child abuse after she was shot in the head on September 4.

Stacy Renee Duggan was shot in her home last week.

The Loudon County Sheriff's Office said at the time that Duggan was accidentally shot when her 11-year-old son found a loaded gun under a bed.

Her husband, Dan Duggan, was charged with child abuse and neglect last week for keeping a loaded gun within reach of a child.

On Monday, Stacy Duggan was also charged with child abuse, along with probation violations and failure to appear.

Dan and Stacy Duggan will be in court on November 7 for their most recent charges.
