More than 25 people displaced in Knoxville after electrical issues

KNOXVILLE (WATE) - More than two dozen people were displaced Monday night after an apartment complex sustained electrical problems.

Crews responded to a possible fire around 6:30 p.m. at the Walbrook Studio Apartments on Walbrook Drive.

When Rural Metro officials got to the scene they found electrical issues in the building.

All 27 residents have been evacuated and power has been shut down. The Red Cross is assisting those residents until officials rule that it is safe for them to return.
