MARYVILLE (WATE) - The city of Maryville is offering free Class A compost to area residents on Saturday, September 15.
Pickup trucks and small utility trailers can get the compost at the Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant, 4541 Wheeler Road in Louisville. It's available from 8:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
Officials say the compost meets all state and federal regulations and has been classified as "exceptional quality,"
The timing is good for landscaping, fall gardening and flower planting season. The compost is rich in nutrients and organic matter, and great for moisture retention.
The offer is not for commercial trucks and vendors.
