KNOXVILLE (WATE) – Knox County Mayor Tim Burchett will host his second Lunch with the Mayor Friday, September 15 at a South Knoxville barbecue restaurant.
The public is invited to Love That BBQ, 1901 Maryville Pike, from 11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Lunch with the Mayor specials will be offered.
The first Lunch with the Mayor was in August at Harby's Pizza & Deli, after Mayor Burchett organized a series of successful cash mobs.
"The first Lunch with the Mayor was very successful, and I hope the community will come out again this Friday to support a locally-owned business in our community," Mayor Burchett said in a press release. "As I've said before, the important thing about the cash mob, and now Lunch with the Mayor, is getting people to start thinking about supporting locally-owned businesses, no matter where they are in Knox County."
Friday's event is "Dutch treat."
