Man charged in East Knoxville knifing incident

KNOXVILLE (WATE) - A Knoxville man was arrested Wednesday night after he allegedly knifed another man during an argument.

Police responded to a call at an apartment located at 2733 E. Magnolia Avenue. The victim, Anthony Griffin, 56, of Knoxville, said Donald Ray Langley cut him after Griffin asked him to leave.

Langley, 41, of Knoxville, is accused of pulling a knife, cutting Griffin on his lower left leg and fleeing the scene.

Griffin was taken to UT Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Langley was later arrested several blocks from the apartment. He was charged with one count of aggravated assault and booked on a $15,000 bond.
