KNOXVILLE (WATE) - If you're looking for a new pet, Young Williams may have someone waiting for you.
Young Williams is offering free adult dog and cat adoptions beginning Thursday. It's all part of the Rachel Ray SPCA $100,000 contest. The ABC daytime TV host is holding the challenge to increase pet adoptions.
Currently, Young-Williams ranks 14th in the nation and second in the southeast division. The shelter hopes the initiative will help save over 1,500 dogs and cats by the end of October.
