KNOXVILLE (WATE) - The Knox County Sheriff's Office is looking for a male suspect involved in a Friday afternoon armed robbery.
The robbery occurred around 1 p.m. at Super Shine Express car wash located on the 9000 block of Middlebrook Pike.
A man entered the business and displayed a handgun. The suspect stole an unknown amount of cash and fled the scene in a large, dark-colored SUV.
According to a KCSO press release, the suspect is described as a white male in his early to mid-20s. He was wearing a blue sleeveless shirt and cargo pants. The suspect is between 5'6" and 5'11" and thin with short brown hair and a clean-shaven face.
The KCSO Major Crimes Unit and Forensics Unit responded to the incident, and the investigation is ongoing.
