MADISONVILLE (WATE) - Police arrested and charged a Madisonville man Sunday for the fatal stabbing of another man.
Officers responded around noon to an altercation on Third Street and found Terrance Davis, 30, with stab wounds to his torso.
Davis was taken to UT Medical Center where he died.
The chief said officers arrested Leon McKinley Bell, 24, of 527 Third Street, on a charge of second-degree murder. Detectives found a small hunting knife at the scene.
Bell and Davis were neighbors who knew each other, according to Police Chief Gregg Breeden.
The two men, who both had criminal histories, apparently argued in the driveway of a home on Third Street, the chief said.
The last murder in Madisonville was in the 1990s.
