KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Mayor Madeline Rogero and other city of Knoxville officials held a meeting Monday night with neighborhood groups.

They all came together at Belle Morris Elementary School to talk about concerns and ideas for neighborhood improvement.

Mayor Rogero said the meeting is a good way for city officials to get more connected to community issues.

"I think that problems are solved first by the people in the neighborhoods," said Mayor Rogero. "They can best identify what the problems are and what the solutions are, so we need to listen to them. You can't figure out all the answers sitting back in City Hall."

Any neighborhood groups interested in requesting a meeting in their area can fill out a Neighborhood Connections form which you can find here.
