LOUDON (WATE) - Law enforcement in Georgia says a woman who was reported missing, possibly while on her way to East Tennessee, has been found safe.

Carolyn Clayton, 47, of Ringgold, Georgia is originally from Loudon County. She was reported missing on Thursday, September 6.

On Tuesday, September 18 the Catoosa County Sheriff's Office released a flyer saying Clayton's case has been resolved.

A sheriff's office spokesman said officers spoke with Clayton and she's doing well. He also said Clayton and her family asks that their privacy be respected.

No other details were released.
