Endangered Child Alert ends after Knoxville baby found safe

KNOXVILLE (WATE) - An East Tennessee Endangered Child Alert issued Friday night for a four-day-old Knoxville baby boy ended Saturday when the infant was found safe.

Knoxville police say the baby was recovered Saturday afternoon. He was taken to East Tennessee Children's Hospital for evaluation and was placed in state custody. 

The circumstances surrounding the alert were never made clear. Police would only say they were looking for the infants parents, Jennifer Michelle Sexton and Clarence Michael Posey. 

After the boy was recovered police did not say if any arrests had been made.
