PIGEON FORGE (WATE) - One person was injured after a house converted into a wood carving business was reduced to rubble Sunday morning in Sevier County.

The Pigeon Forge Fire Department responded around 2 a.m. to "Carvers of the Smokies" company building located on the 1400 block of Wears Valley Road.

The fire was fully involved when firefighters arrived.

One person lived at the location and tried to put out the fire. The victim was injured, airlifted to UT Medical and is in stable condition, according to Chief Tony Watson.

Extra lumber inside the structure from the business caused the fire to blaze even more.
