NEWPORT (WATE) - The court hearing was reset for the suspects accused of murdering a Cocke County family.
Prosecutors said in May they will seek the death penalty for Adam Lawton Edwards, 43, and Marsha Gail Shelton, 29, if the suspects are convicted.
Edwards and Shelton are charged with three counts of first degree murder, three counts of felony murder, conspiracy to commit aggravated robbery, aggravated robbery, aggravated kidnapping, aggravated child abuse, aggravated arson, theft of property over $1,000 and theft of property over $500.
They are accused of killing Terri Henderson, Sherman Ellison, and son, Riley, in Hartford on May 26. The family's bodies were found at the scene of their mobile home fire.
Edwards was a neighbor of the victims at one time, according to the Cocke County Sheriff's Office.
The new hearing date is December 17.
