KNOXVILLE (WATE) - East Knoxville's Morningside Park gets a makeover with some help from a local company.
City officials and Mayor Madeline Rogero were on hand Tuesday for a ribbon cutting at the renovated park.
Funding for the work is part of a $1 million dollar gift from Pilot Flying J. The upgrades include better parking, clearing brush and a redesign of the disc golf course.
Money from the Pilot Flying J gift also went to renovating the Inskip pool and park plus purchasing land in the South Knoxville Urban Wilderness Corridor.
