Pigeon Forge resident killed in Jefferson County wreck

DANDRIDGE (WATE) - A Pigeon Forge man was killed early Thursday when he crashed his car into a light pole in Jefferson County.

Tony G. Roberts, 63, died in the crash on State Highway 92 at the intersection with Indian Ridge Road near Dandridge.

A Tennessee Highway Patrol accident report says Roberts was traveling north on Highway 92 when his car went off the left side of the road. As he attempted to get back on the road he over-corrected and crashed into a light pole on the right side of the road.

The accident report says alcohol or drugs were not a factor in the crash, but added that Robert was not wearing a seat belt when he crashed.
