EVARTS, Ky. (WATE) - Services are scheduled for a Middlesboro miner who died Wednesday in a ceiling collapse in a Claiborne County, Tennessee coal mine.
Jeremy Perkins, 32, was killed in a mine operated by Kopper Glo Fuel, Inc.
Visitation is Saturday, September 29 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Evarts Funeral Home, 119 N. Bridge Street.
Funeral services will be Sunday, September 30 at 2:00 p.m. in the Evarts Funeral Home Chapel. Burial follows in Evarts Memorial Gardens.
According to his obituary, Perkins had been a coal miner for 14 years.
