KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Three suspects in a Knoxville armed robbery were arrested late Thursday after attempting to flee police.
Officers were on their way shortly before 9:30 p.m. to a home on Sutherland View Way where the robbery occurred when the suspects were spotted. They were in a vehicle turning northbound onto Hollywood from Sutherland Avenue.
When the officers tried to pull the vehicle over, the suspects sped off. They stopped a short time later on Bonnyman Drive and tried to flee on foot, but were apprehended by the officers.
Malik Hassan Jones, 21, of Oak Ridge, is charged with one count of aggravated robbery. He's being held on a $75,000 bond.
Malcolm Xavier Clark, 19, of Knoxville, is charged with one count of aggravated robbery. He was booked on a $25,000 bond.
The third suspect, a 17-year-old boy, is charged with aggravated robbery.
