SEYMOUR (WATE) - One woman died and a man was injured in a one vehicle accident on Saturday morning in Sevier County.
According to a THP report, William C. Heine, Jr., 34, of Seymour, was driving his 1999 Ford pickup truck eastbound on Porterfield Gap Road by the intersection of Springfield Drive. Heine then veered off the right side of the road and struck a utility pole.
His passenger, Kristi M. Creel, 28, of Sevierville, was killed in the accident.
Creel and Heine were not wearing seat belts. The THP report says that both of them had been drinking.
Citations have been issued, and criminal charges are pending.
