KINGSTON (WATE) - A Roane County toddler believed to have been taken by his non-custodial mother has now been found safe.

Roane County officials said that 3-year-old Frank Williams Qualls was returned to his family on Saturday.

The boy was reported missing on August 31 when his mother, Amy Barber-McDonough, failed to appear in court that day.

The sheriff's office had issued a custodial interference warrant for her. It is not clear whether charges will filed be against her.
