HAPPY VALLEY (WATE) - Two 14-year-old boys who had been missing since Sunday night in Great Smoky Mountains National Park were found safe Monday morning.
According to park spokesperson Molly Schroer, the park service received a call shortly after 8 p.m. about the missing boys.
The two were fishing in the Abrams Creek area with the mother of one of the boys.
They wandered upstream and became separated.
Rangers conducted a short search Sunday night, but had to call it off because of darkness, The search resumed Monday morning and the boys were found safe a short time later.
Both boys are from Graham County, N.C.
