KNOXVILLE (WATE) - A U.S. District Court Judge issued a warrant for a Maryville woman accused of drug trafficking after she failed to appear in court on Tuesday.

Tamral Guzman, 42, of Maryville, has been in court for the last week on charges that she used her business, Maryville Pain Management, LLC on Lamar Alexander Parkway, to distribute pain pills illegally.

Guzman had been out on a pre-trial release on the condition that she make her court appearances. She did not show up for court on Tuesday morning.

Despite her absence, the judge continued hearing witnesses in the case.

According to the warrant, her current whereabouts are unknown.

Guzman was arrested in December 2010 as federal agents raided the clinic she operated.

A federal indictment claimed that Guzman, who is not a doctor, wrote orders for prescription painkillers from a blank prescription pad that had been pre-signed by a nurse practitioner.

Guzman is described as a white or white hispanic female, 5'5", 180 pounds, hazel eyes, medium brown hair, a tribal tattoo on her lower back and a 3" scar below her left elbow.

Anyone with information is asked to call the U.S. Marshals Service at (865) 545-4182.
