KNOXVILLE (WATE) - A group of local veterans got a big welcome home after a special trip to see the nation's capitol. People young and old waved flags and cheered at McGhee Tyson Airport Wednesday night.

HonorAir flights made the trip to see the war monuments possible. The veterans saw the World War II, Korean and Vietnam memorials during the day trip.
