KNOXVILLE (WATE) - A horse is to blame for a traffic jam Thursday night on I-40 near Midway Road.
The horse was loose and running on the interstate. Tennessee Highway Patrol troopers, Knox County deputies and Tennessee Wilderness Resources Agency agents tried to corral the animal.
The problem finally ended when a passing motorist with horse experience stopped to help and the horse was caught.
Authorities think the horse got loose from a nearby farm. It is now in the care of Horse Haven.
If you have any information about the horse's owner, call Horse Haven at (865) 609-4030.
