Deputies find 2 bodies in Cocke County home

COSBY (WATE) - The bodies of a man and woman were found in a Cocke County house on Thursday afternoon, according to the Cocke County Sheriff's Department.

Officers responded to a call around 2:30 p.m. that told them to check a home on the 4000 block of Ball Hallow Road.

Authorities have not yet identified the bodies, but the autopsies are pending at the East Tennessee Regional Forensic Center. A report is expected on Monday.

Sheriff Armando Fontes said they believe the man was in his 30s and the woman was in her 50s.

Deputies requested assistance from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation when they arrived at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
