2 Tenn. men die in White Oak car wreck

WHITE OAK (WATE) - Two Tennessee men were killed in a one vehicle car accident on Saturday afternoon in Campbell County.

According to a Tennessee Highway Patrol report, Jimmy L. Pittman, 58, of Jellico, was driving his 2003 Cadillac eastbound on Highway 90 around 4 p.m.

Pittman then lost control of the vehicle and left the right side of the roadway, struck a tree and ended up 30 feet down an embankment.

His passenger, Robert R. Moore, 42, of Duff, died in the wreck.

Neither men were wearing safety belts, but officers do not believe the restraints would have made a difference in the accident.
