Crews extinguish blaze in vacant Sevierville house fire

SEVIERVILLE (WATE) - A fire broke out Saturday night at an empty home in Sevier County, but no one was injured.

It happened around 9:30 p.m. on the 1000 block of Matthews Hollow Road.

Both Sevier County and Seymour Volunteer Fire Department responded to the fire.

The house was vacant since it was being remodeled. Firefighters were able to save about half of the home.

The investigation is ongoing.
