OAK RIDGE (WATE) - The Oak Ridge National Laboratory was shut down for a few hours Sunday as officials investigated a "security concern."
According to David Keim, Communications Director for ORNL, the facility was on lock down from 8:40 a.m. Sunday until just before 1 p.m. after a DOE contractor reported a problem.
After looking into it, the concern was found to be unsubstantiated.
Keim added there was no security breach or threat.
