KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Knox County Schools officials confirmed Wednesday that a teacher was placed on paid administrative leave.

Gwendolyn Mynatt was placed on administrative leave with pay on Sept. 27 for allegations of unprofessional conduct. School officials have not released details about the allegations.

Mynatt is a special education teacher at Halls High School. She has been with the school district for 16 years.

The Knox County Sheriff's Department is investigating.
