KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Rural/Metro and Knoxville Fire Department crews were called early Thursday to contain a gas leak in the Hardin Valley area.

Dispatchers say sulfur dioxide gas began leaking from an AFG Industries facility on Westcott Boulevard around 2 a.m.

All workers at the facility were able to make it out of the bulding.

Westcott Boulevard was closed for a period of time.
