KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Knox County Schools officials will hold the last in a series of public meetings Thursday to consider rezoning boundaries in preparation for a new elementary school.

The new Southwest Elementary School is under construction in the Northshore Town Center and is slated to open in the fall of next year.

Changes will need to be made to other West Knox County school boundaries once the new school opens.

Students attending A. L. Lotts, Farragut Primary and Intermediate, Hardin Valley, Blue Grass, Ball Camp and Cedar Bluff Elementary schools may be affected by the rezoning.

The meeting will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Westlake Campus of First Baptist Concord.
