KNOXVILLE (WATE) - The funeral arrangements have been announced for the Knoxville soldier who died over the weekend in a shooting accident.
John Hargreaves, 21, died Saturday night, just before midnight. Family members said his gun accidentally discharged, grazing his head.
Friends of Hargreaves will be received at Weaver Funeral Home on Western Avenue on Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The funeral will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. also at Weaver Funeral Home. The family has asked that any attendees from the military wear their dress uniforms.
A candlelight vigil is also scheduled for Saturday night at 8:30 p.m. at Karns High School in Hargreaves' honor.
