GREENBACK (WATE) - A two-story house was destroyed Sunday morning when it caught fire.

According to Greenback Fire Chief Ronnie Lett, crews were at the scene around 11 a.m. at the 5300 block of Cedar Church Lane, but were unable to save the home.

When firefighters arrived, the home was fully engulfed in flames and took about 45 minutes to get under control.

The residents were able to get out safely and no one was injured.

Friendsville Volunteer Fire Department, Blount County Rural/Metro, and the Greenback Rescue Squad all pitched in to get the blaze contained.

The house is considered a total loss.
