LENOIR CITY (WATE) - The ramp between I-75 North and I-40 West was blocked for several hours Tuesday after a tractor trailer overturned.

It happened around 8:40 a.m. near Mile Marker 84 of I-75 in Loudon County.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol said the driver attempted to merge and flipped over in the median.

The truck was hauling brake rotors for commercial vehicles.

Driver Cortney J. Cleveland, of Oak Grove, KY, was taken via ambulance to Fort Loudon Medical Center.

Cleveland was cited with failure to exercise due care and a log book violation.

The accident closed the leftbound lane for several hours while the truck blocked the lane, but it was later reopened.

As of 2:00 p.m., the ramp was still partially blocked while crews continued to remove debris in the roadway.
