Monroe County inmate escapes from work detail

MADISONVILLE (WATE) - An inmate escaped from work detail at a work site in Monroe County on Tuesday afternoon.

The inmate, Ricky Gennoe, 36, who was on trustee status, stole a 2003 silver, two-wheel-drive Toyota Tacoma truck around 1:00 p.m.

The truck has a "In Memory of Larry Booher" sticker in the back window with Tennessee tags 921-RKL.

Gennoe left the work site on Hiwassee Road in Madisonville. 

He is described as a white male, 6'3" tall and weighing about 250 pounds.

Monroe County officials said Gennoe's criminal history involves property crimes and does not include any violent crimes.
