VONORE (AP) - A biomass field day at Vonore will show off an ethanol refinery and farm operations that grow energy crops.
The free event is next Wednesday and Thursday, but registration by this Friday will guarantee lunch. Registration is also available online at http://www.biomassfieldday.com, by email to Mark Alexander at email@example.com or by calling (865) 946-1162.
Several presentations will feature concurrent sessions Wednesday on a variety of topics ranging from technical presentations to farmer testimonials. Visitors may also see on-site field equipment demonstrations and exhibits. Of particular interest will be the discussions involving the production of switchgrass, sorghum, miscanthus and woody biomass as energy crops.
The schedule for next Thursday includes an open house at the Genera Energy Biomass Innovation Park and a second open house at the DuPont demonstration biorefinery.
