Tenn. man charged with egging ex-wife

CLARKSVILLE (AP) - Police in Clarksville say a woman got an unwelcome surprise while waiting to pick her son up at the bus stop - an egg to the head.

The Leaf-Chronicle reported that the woman was waiting to pick up the boy Thursday when her ex-husband, 38-year-old Michael McKelvey of Clarksville, lobbed an egg at her in a dispute over where the woman parked.

McKelvey told officers he warned his ex-wife not to park in front of his apartment when she picked up the child, so he threw an egg at her car. Police say the egg struck the woman and spilled on to the child.

McKelvey was taken into custody for domestic assault. He remained in the Montgomery County Jail on Saturday. Bond was set at $500.
