KNOXVILLE (WATE) - The Knoxville Police Department responded to a robbery at a business on Tuesday night.
Officials said the incident occurred around 7:35 p.m. at the Dollar General Store located on the 4800 block of Clinton Highway.
The suspect jumped the counter, grabbed the cashier and forced him to open the register. The suspect then emptied approximately $400 in cash and fled down Inskip Drive.
The suspect is described as a white male who is 6'2" to 6'3" with a medium to large frame. He wore a black ski mask, tan shirt, black hoodie, blue jeans and white tennis shoes.
The investigation is ongoing.
