SOUTH PITTSBURG (WATE) - A Grace Christian football player was flown to a Chattanooga area hospital Friday night during a game.         

The Grace Christian Academy Rams were playing South Pittsburg High School in South Pittsburg, which is just outside of Chattanooga.     

Two different eyewitnesses told 6 Sports Will McKamey collapsed at the game. His father, Randy McKamey, is the head coach of the Grace Christian football team. He told 6 Sports his son was flown to Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, where he was in critical condition on Saturday morning.

His dad told 6 Sports that Will has a brain injury and will be in the ICU until Monday most likely.

McKamey is a senior running back who plans to attend the U.S. Naval Academy.
