KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Knoxville police are searching for the man who robbed a local store at knifepoint on Monday morning.
Officers received a call just before 11:00 a.m. that a man robbed the Family Dollar at 2604 Magnolia Avenue.
Witnesses told police that a man entered the store, produced a knife and robbed the cashier.
He then fled on foot toward Linden Avenue with a small amount of money.
The suspect is a black male in his early to mid-twenties, between 5'5" and 5'7" in height, and weighing about 185 lbs.
He was last seen wearing a brown, hooded jacket; blue, faded jeans and white shoes. His face was covered with a blue bandana.
